DIAGONAL LINES TUTORIAL
To start off with, open Photoshop. Then create a new document either 4x4 pixels or 8x8 pixels depending on how big you want the spacing between each line to be. I’ll be using 4x4 pixels for this tutorial.

Now that you have your new document, zoom in as much as possible. Now select the pencil tool and choose the square brush and set the size to 1 pixel. Now going from one corner to the other, make a line with the pencil tool. Its best to make the line black but you can choose a different colour if you wish.

Next go up to Edit > Define Pattern. A window will pop up. Simply name it and select ok.

Now you can add diagonal lines to image you want, by going Edit > Fill > Pattern and selecting your pattern.
